Accessibility statement

Last updated:

We want the site to be usable by everyone, on any device and with any assistive technology. Our goal is level AA of the WCAG 2.2 guidelines.

What we have taken care of

  • Navigation, the projects and their filters, the CLICKO Start form and the “Before and after” can all be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to content” link.
  • A correct heading hierarchy, page landmarks and labels on buttons, forms and filters for screen readers.
  • An accessibility menu (the round button at the bottom left) for larger text, high contrast, pausing animations, underlining links and more widely spaced text.
  • Light and dark themes, with text contrast that meets level AA in both.
  • If you have requested reduced motion on your device, animations and effects are turned off.
  • Text can be enlarged up to 200% and the page adapts to narrow screens without horizontal scrolling.
  • Project images have alternative text, and links that open in a new tab say so.

Where we know it falls short

  • The pixel drawing board is a game for mouse or touch and cannot be used with a keyboard. It contains no information that is not also available elsewhere on the page.
  • The “Before and after” is a visual demonstration. Its meaning is conveyed only partly to a screen reader.
  • The websites of our projects belong to our clients and may not follow the same standards.

How we tested it

This statement is based on our own testing: automated testing with axe and manual keyboard testing, in both the light and the dark theme. It has not been certified by an independent body.
